Barbara Oozeerally was born in Poland. She has been living in UK since 1979.

Barbara has been a professional botanical artist since 1995.

She has exhibited at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the RHS Wisley Show, the American Society of Botanical Artists in New York, the Melbourne Art Exhibition in Australia and at the Kirstenbosch Biennale Exhibition of Botanical Art in Cape Town, South Africa.

Barbara has been awarded two RHS Gold Medals (2002 & 2004) and five RHS Silver-Gilt Medals. She has also been awarded the Certificate of Botanical Merit (2001) and Highly Commended (2003) from the Society of Botanical Artists in London.

She has been awarded Certificate of Botanical Merit (2003) from the Horticultural Society of New York, the Fifth International Botanical Art Exhibition, USA.

In 2007 she was awarded The Diane Bouchier Founder’s Award for Excellence in Botanical Art.

In 2002 she was awarded Silver Medal from the Kirstenbosch Biennale Exhibition of Botanical Art in Cape Town, South Africa.

She was given the Gwen Mandley Memorial Award for Watercolour from the Chelsea Art Society in 2013.

In 1999 she was the winner of the Channel 4 Watercolour Challenge at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Barbara’s paintings have been acquired by the Lindley Library in London and Hunt Institute in the USA and most of her paintings are in private collections, including the Shirley Sherwood collection.
